Hello fellow Eagles! My name is Fatimah McElhinney, and I’m a proud TAISM alum—though it feels like I graduated just yesterday, in 2014. Life has changed a lot since leaving Muscat, but the people, relationships, and experiences I gained at TAISM continue to shape my life every day.

My time at TAISM was truly one of a kind. Whenever I share high school stories, people are often surprised—most didn’t get the chance to travel internationally for sports competitions or camp off-grid. Those once-in-a-lifetime experiences broadened my perspective and have stayed with me. They’ve even helped me connect with clients, especially international ones, as these shared global experiences make me more relatable than many of my colleagues.

After graduating, I began my studies at Wheaton College in Norton, MA, and later transferred to the University of North Carolina–Greensboro, where I earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Marketing and Economics and a minor in Biology. Today, I work as a Senior Sales Manager for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, overseeing sales for a portfolio of properties.

I’m grateful to stay connected with many of my TAISM classmates and find it inspiring to follow everyone’s journeys across the globe. Now, as a wife, mom, and full-time professional, I’m also back in school pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with the goal of opening my own group home and home healthcare agency.
