As an alumnus of TAISM Class of 2021, one of the biggest impacts TAISM had on me was the cultural exposure and diverse environment, which helped prepare me to lead soldiers from many different backgrounds and walks of life. I am deeply grateful for the faculty and teachers who guided and shaped the person I am today. In particular, Mr. Greg Brink, who strengthened my foundation in mathematics and helped me succeed in engineering, and Mr. Scott Brink, who sparked my interest in geopolitics and history.

Today I am a Lieutenant and a U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Honors and received my commission from the University of Houston.

My biggest piece of advice comes from Alexander the Great: “There is nothing impossible to him who will try.”

Capture every opportunity in life. Even if you fail, you will learn more about yourself, grow stronger, and build the resilience needed for future success.
