The school's facilities are state-of-the-art and are very inviting. They provide a good education and opportunities to grow in non-academic areas, like music, the arts, drama, and sports.

Music is a core part of TAISM’s culture. Beginning in Elementary School, our students experience a range of instruments and choir settings. Through music, students learn to collaborate and cultivate their skills both as an individual and an ensemble. In Middle and High School, our band program is inclusive of all ability levels, giving each student the chance to hone their skills and learn in a performing arts setting."
Students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to take drama in their school day, where they learn vital speaking and presentation skills. In addition, they are exposed to fundamental principles of technical theater in our state-of-the-art Bosch Center. After-school productions are an extension of this learning process, where students collaborate and create to showcase their skills and hard work.
Visual arts play an essential role in a well-rounded education and enrich our lives in countless ways. At TAISM, we celebrate student artwork throughout the school, and all students, from Pre-K through High School, engage with visual arts using a variety of media. Whether in one of our three art classrooms, the ceramics studio, or participating in after school activities, students at TAISM are immersed in an authentic and purposeful visual arts experience.
TAISM’s Art Core 1 students, guided by Ms. Jenny Tiefel, created and sold hand-printed tote bags inspired by traditional Arabic designs. Proceeds supported the Community Service Club’s work with a local children’s hospital. The project taught students printmaking skills while connecting their creativity to a meaningful cause. Enthusiastically embraced by the community, the initiative highlighted the power of art to give back, with plans for future service-focused projects already underway.
Participating in the Middle School Musical “Camp Rock” at TAISM was an incredible experience, highlighting the school's strong performing arts program. The musical fostered community, teamwork, and new friendships, both on stage and backstage. Traditions like sharing Skittles before performances and holding hands to transfer energy added to the excitement and camaraderie. This experience inspired a deep appreciation for theater and its impact, making it a memorable part of student life.
4th and 5th graders at The American International School of Muscat (TAISM) put on a spectacular performance of "The Jungle Book Kids" for the annual ES musical.
