While we’re always excited to see TAISM in the local news, it’s even more special when the articles are written by one of our own! Alumna Zara Saldanha published two articles in Muscat Daily featuring TAISM in November 2021, and we’re excited to share them with our community. 

These articles highlight two of our most treasured traditions: National Day and giving back to the community.  

In her article National Day beckons, Saldanha details her interview with TAISM Director Kevin Schafer in which he discusses why Oman’s National Day is so important and how it’s celebrated at TAISM. 

In her article Online fundraiser ‘Art for a Cause’ helps in COVID-19 relief, Saldanha talks with the fundraiser’s organizer, Amani al Zawawi, a TAISM student who rallied her fellow art students to create digital artwork and sell it to support the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Department.
