TAISM 6th Grader Receives Prestigious NESA Haas/Hansen Student Award

We are proud to announce that Grade 6 student Jude Olson has been selected as a recipient of the Stanley Haas/Luke Hansen Student Award, presented annually by the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA).

Jude was chosen as one of only four students across the NESA region to receive this distinguished honor. The award recognizes students who demonstrate persistence, leadership, cultural understanding, and a sustained commitment to helping others.
Jude’s contributions reflect these values in meaningful ways. He has played an active role in the school’s Terry Fox Run, supporting efforts to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. He also serves as Chief Librarian of the Olson Family Library, a free community lending library in Muscat that provides access to books for readers from diverse backgrounds.
Through his service, Jude promotes literacy, supports his community, and demonstrates a genuine commitment to making a positive difference. His leadership and compassion reflect the very best of TAISM and the values we strive to nurture in our students.
