French Language Diploma Honors

November 12, 2015

On November 10, 2015, TAISM students Luis Camero, Elisa Camero, Rafa Saa Rodriguez, and Ana Segovia, along with their parents, their French teacher Madame Mallais, and one hundred guests attended the DELF (diplôme d’études en langue française) Ceremony at the French Embassy. They received internationally-recognized diplomas certifying their level of advanced French studies.

Last May, Elisa, Rafa, and Ana (grade 9 students) successfully passed a pre-intermediate A2 exam, while Luis Camero (grade 12 student) along with TAISM graduates Omar Al Taee and Virginia Attiná were able to confirm a superior B2 level, which would allow them to bypass a French language course upon acceptance to any university in France. These DELF exams take place every year in December and May at the Centre Franco-Omanais (CFO) in Madinat Qaboos.

Madame Mallais looks forward to having more TAISM French students earn these prestigious diplomas in May 2016.

For further information on these exams, please contact TAISM’s High School French teacher, Madame Jacqueline Mallais.
