TAISM Alumni Garden

April 17, 2012

Dear TAISM Community,

I am writing about an exciting opportunity for you and your family to celebrate your time at The American International School of Muscat (TAISM). We invite you to purchase a personalized paving tile to be placed in a new garden adjacent to the new Performing Arts Center. This is an excellent way to become a part of TAISM’s history!

TAISM is developing a central outdoor space called the Alumni Garden. All students who attend TAISM will at some point be Alumni (or former students). The opportunity to purchase a tile is available for current and former TAISM families, graduates, students and staff members. The Alumni Garden will be a park-like setting for students, teachers and parents to study and socialize on a daily basis. The garden will include landscaping and paving tiles, and it will be completed in spring/summer 2012.

The Garden will be situated in the courtyard immediately outside of the new Don and Eloise Bosch Center for the Performing Arts. The Bosch Center, the Open Air Theater, the current Performance Hall and the swimming pool will define the garden space, and it will open onto the sports field.

We invite you to contribute to this wonderful project. You may purchase a paving tile with your personalized inscription, for example, “Susan Jones, Class of 2012” or “The Jones Family”. Each tile is made of Omani marble and measures 30 x 30 cm. A sample tile is available for you to see in TAISM’s administration office.

The cost to purchase a tile is RO 150, and all proceeds will be used to construct and maintain the Alumni Garden. See the links below to download the tile order form and view further information. Tiles ordered now will be added to the Alumni Garden in the summer 2012 installation. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Al-Alawi, Administrative Assistant, at 2459 5180 or stop by the School Reception.

Sincerely,

Kevin Schafer

TAISM Director
