Dress Code

TAISM has a dress code that is comfortable, respectful of Oman’s culture, and appropriate for our school climate:

  1. The school dress code applies to grades 1-12.
  2. Students are responsible for being neat, clean and dressed appropriately.
  3. Wearing of valuable jewelry and jewelry in quantity is discouraged. TAISM accepts no responsibility for any jewelry brought to school.
  4. Provocative or unusual hair styles or hair coloring are not considered appropriate for school.
  5. Provocative, excessive or unusual make-up is not considered appropriate for school.
  6. Shoes should be comfortable street shoes, athletic shoes, or sandals. High heels are not allowed.
  7. Hats are not to be worn inside the school building.
  8. In the Secondary School, gym shirts and gym shorts are NOT to be worn at school except for Physical Education classes.
  9. Due to the intensity of the sun, students are urged to wear hats outside, especially during the hottest weeks of the school year. UV rays are strongest at midday (10:00 - 3:00).
  10. All decisions regarding appropriate dress remain the School Principal’s prerogative.
