HIGH SCHOOL FRENCH

FRENCH II

The primary objective of the Level II French language program is to help students further develop their linguistic proficiency and cultural sensitivity. By interweaving language and culture, the program seeks to broaden students’ communication skills while at the same time deepening their appreciation of other cultures. Activities progress from controlled to open-ended practice where students are able to express themselves in meaningful communication.

The French as a foreign language program strives to help students continue to develop their proficiency in the French language through the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, and to instill in students an understanding and appreciation for French culture around the world. The goal of the program is to provide students with the confidence to express themselves in the French language.
