FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010

1. Application Fee - one-time, non-refundable (to be submitted with application form): RO 50 per student
2. Capital Levy Fee - one-time, non-refundable (due upon enrollment for grades Kindergarten – grade 12 only): RO 3,950 per student
• No capital levy fee is assessed for students entering Early Childhood Years 1 and 2. The capital levy fee is assessed when these students enter Kindergarten.
  
• For students transferring from any other school in Muscat:
  
• If a capital levy fee was paid at another school in Muscat and the fee was more than or equal to that of The American International School of Muscat, then the capital levy fee is waived.
• If a capital levy fee was paid at another school in Muscat and the fee was less than that of The American International School of Muscat, then the difference in capital levy fees is charged
3. Tuition Fees for the school year in Rials Omani (RO) 

Early Childhood Year 1 and Year 2	RO 3,445
Elementary School - Kindergarten, Grades 1 – 5	RO 5,520
Middle School - Grades 6 – 8	RO 6,775
High School - Grades 9 – 12	RO 7,530

4. Other fees may apply during the school year in the Middle and High Schools, including band instrument rental, student activity travel, etc. Please contact the Business Manager for further information.
5. Bus Fee – Bussing is available and is optional. The fee for the school year 2009-10 is RO 425.
6. The enrollment of a student is a private contract between the student’s parents (or guardians) and the School, regardless of the arrangement between the parents and an employer. The parents remain ultimately responsible for the payment of all fees.
7. Fees for the full academic year are invoiced prior to the start of the school year. Alternative payment plans (i.e. installments) may be arranged with the approval of the Director. Please contact the Business Manager for more information.
8. Tuition and bussing fees for a student enrolled after the school year has begun are invoiced based on the fiscal semester(s) for which the student is enrolled. Fiscal semester dates are defined as follows:

   1 st Semester: August 22 – December 16, 2009

   2 nd Semester: January 9 – June 11, 2010

9. Fees can be paid in the following ways:
   • Rials Omani cash, check, or demand draft in Rials Omani drawn on a bank in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman
   • Direct wire transfer to the school’s bank account. All sending and receiving bank charges will be borne by the sender.
